Mahal coral
Mahal – coral is a hand-knotted wool Indian carpet that speaks to the Taj Mahal, and the time when Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan built a beautiful tribute to his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The pattern of intertwining leaves and tendrils is set against a coral background, a color which symbolizes fidelity and faith. The border is woven in creams and browns. Compare coral with light blue Mahal aquamarine. Master weavers use high-twist and hand-spun Ghazni wool to enhance the dyes, resulting in rich, radiant colors. Hand-knotted with a traditional Persian knot at about 120 hand-tied knots per square inch, this rug will last generations. Works well with Stickley Traditional and Modern collections.
