Named for Ireland's County Doneghal, the Doneghal rug design was originally on display in London during a Liberty’s Exhibition in 1903. The rug depicts the boughs of a giant hemlock. The colors are soft blues, greys, tan and buttery cream. Gustav Stickley himself owned several Donegal rugs crafted in Donegal, Ireland. Hand-knotted by Nepalese weavers using wool from Himalayan Highland sheep.
